How to produce a Generative Design model

Generative Design requires key elements to be inputted by the user. This ensures that the geometry produced by the algorithm satisfies the requirements in a 3D space envelope.

Preserve geometry (green) must be provided as geometry that must remain in the final part. This can be considered as the interfaces, such as the sleeve of a bolt or other components that contact with the design.

Obstacle geometry (red) is the region material cannot exist, such as the shaft of a bolt that must pass through the region un-obstructed.

The starting geometry (yellow) can be inputted as a suggested starting shape. This is not a requirement, but providing a starting shape can guide the solution in a certain direction.
